Applications for this year’s NSW Philip Parsons Fellowship for Emerging Playwrights are now open.
In a change to the application rules, entries will now be accepted from playwrights of any age who reside in New South Wales, and who are in the first eight years of their professional careers.
In addition, submitted plays do not need to have had a full independent or professional run, and will be accepted if they have had a public showing, reading, or season of dates.
The Fellowship, which is named after performing arts publisher and teacher Dr Philip Parsons, is worth a total of AUD20,000 (€13, 884) for creative development and a commission at the Belvoir theatre.
