National Symphony Orchestra (Taiwan Philharmonic)


The National Symphony Orchestra (also known as Taiwan Philharmonic), is the leading orchestra with a high reputation in Asia, USA, and Europe, and is the resident orchestra of the National Concert Hall of Taiwan. Under the direction of its new Artistic Advisor,  Maestro Jun Märkl,  NSO is home to any talented musicians who are looking for a safe and positive work environment and who want to find the stage for them to shine.


  • Please mail the following documents to the National Symphony Orchestra a.k.a Taiwan Philharmonic (21-1, Chung-Shan South Road, Taipei 100012, Taiwan.) before August 6, 2021.
  1. Application Form (can be downloaded at NSO)
  2. Curriculum Vitaes
  3. A Letter of Recommendation by a full-time musician from professional orchestras in the  last three years.
  4. Copy of Passport


Concertmaster: 9:30 a.m. , September 6, 2021.  

No video audition will be accepted.  

Applicant will receive all necessary audition information by email prior to August 9, 2021. 

Audition Location:  

NSO Rehearsal Room, 3rd Floor, National Concert Hall (Address: No. 21-1, Chung-Shan  South Road, Taipei 100012, Taiwan.)


Multiple rounds of auditions will be held.

In addition to the auditions,  the finalist(s) will be required to play a concert week with NSO including rehearsals and performance between September and December, 2021.
