DescriptionThe Santa Fe Desert Chorale is seeking a driven individual to join its professional team as Administrative Assistant. This position will provide assistance with all administrative functions and will have the opportunity to work on special projects and assignments with the Executive Director.

Responsibilities:

● Provide administrative and project support to the Executive Director

● Draft communications as requested (i.e., press releases, eblasts, and spoken remarks)

● Provide assistance to the Board of Directors, including meeting set-up and scheduling

● Maintain and distribute Board and committee materials, as well as the Google Shared Drive

● Generate acknowledgement letters and assist with the fulfillment of donor benefits

● Process the mail and prepare bank deposits

● Assist with fulfillment of ticket and merchandise orders, and mailings as requested

● Assist with maintenance of physical and electronic files and archives, including CRM data entry

● Assist with maintenance and organization of office equipment, supplies, and office space

● Maintain current outgoing message and phone-tree within the messaging system

● Monitor general organizational email accounts and coordinate responses with staff as needed

● Assist in event production and donor cultivation events as requested

● Other duties as may be assigned

Schedule:

● M-F, 40 hours/week (flexible schedule outside of 9 am-5 pm, including remote work, is negotiable)

● Evening and weekend hours will be required during production periods, as well as occasionally throughout the year for special events

Compensation:

● This is a full time, exempt position

● Salary commensurate with experience

● Full health benefits, including vision and dental, as well as disability insurance

● 15 days of vacation and 6 sick days annually

● SIMPLE IRA plan matched at 3% (available following one year of employment)

● Ability to balance, prioritize, and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment

● Accuracy in data entry and ability to self-review

● Proficiency with Microsoft Office, GSuite, Adobe Creative Suite, Zoom, and CRM systems preferred, along with ability to learn and adapt to new software

● Professionalism, poise, discretion, and positive representation of SFDC in all job functions

Education and Qualifications:

● A college degree and prior experience of at least 2 years in a closely related position is preferred

● Ability to drive a motor vehicle with valid drivers’ license

● Ability to lift up to 30 pounds (up to 10 pounds frequently)

● Knowledge and appreciation of the choral art form preferred
