Gavin Berger has been appointed as US president and CEO of software company Spektrix.
Berger has over 20 years experience in the arts industry, including eight years as director of concert halls at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts.
As an arts consultant, Berger has advised a range of arts organisations including The Bowery Presents, the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, and the Berman Foundation.
‘I’m hugely excited about the opportunity to guide Spektrix’s continued North American growth and delight our customers with exceptional service and support,’ said Berger. ‘Spektrix was designed specifically for arts organisations, by arts professionals, and the leading arts-focused box office management solution built with cloud architecture from day one. In today’s economy arts organisations need the flexibility and cost-effectiveness that cloud computing delivers.’
Though it was founded in London in 2007, Spektrix’s cloud-based ticketing, marketing and fundraising software is used by organisations throughout Europe and the US. Its current customer base includes The Juilliard School, the Bristol Old Vic and the Royal Court theatre.
Michael Nabarro, Spektrix’s co-founder and managing director said: ‘Gavin’s broad arts background and impressive track record of success means we have the market expertise and leadership necessary to shepherd our rapid growth.’
