The No Boundaries symposium, a British two-day event exploring the role of arts and culture in contemporary society, took place this week. Held simultaneously in York and Bristol (with talks live-streamed between the two locations), speakers included Fiona Gasper, executive director of the Royal Exchange Theatre; Tom Morris, artistic director of the Bristol Old Vic; and Joy Mboya, director of the Godown Arts Centre. Delegates were promised ‘a conference about doing, not funding’. But did it deliver? Here is a selection of the discussion, debate and online reaction.
