Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts has launched a new MA in Creative Producing.
Over the course of a year, students will receive training in various aspects of producing, including arts business structures, marketing, fundraising, business development, contracts and legal issues.
Mountview’s principal Stephen Jameson said: ‘Mountview is committed to enriching the arts industry with the very best in talent across all disciplines. We’re launching this course to provide comprehensive, high-level skills training for future arts leaders who are, like us, passionate about shaping the future of culture in this country and internationally.’
The course will be led by arts manager Chris Grady, who has over 30 years experience in developing emerging theatre companies.
Grady said: ‘I am very pleased to be leading this course at Mountview, which I believe to be one of the most dynamic and exciting drama schools in Europe. Students will benefit from a creative, innovative environment and the support of extraordinarily talented staff and peers from other courses.’
Applications for the course are now open for September 2014 entry. Potential applicants should send a detailed CV outlining recent experience to firstname.lastname@example.org. More information can be found on the Academy’s website.
